To invest in the stock market, you must open a securities account. This account allows you to domicile the securities you buy on the Regional Stock Exchange of Securities (BRVM) of the WAEMU. From your securities account you can invest your money in several products: Shares, Bonds, or Mutual Funds.

There is no limit to start your investments in the stock market. You yourself define the amount to invest according to your savings possibilities or your available resources. However, it is advisable to invest the resources that you will not need in the short term to take full advantage of the returns offered by the market.

If needed, you can withdraw some or all of your money. If you have the securities in your account, all you have to do is give an order to sell the securities you hold in the portfolio. After the execution of the order, the proceeds of the sale may be withdrawn by any means (check, bank transfer, money transfer).

On the BRVM market, the liquidity of your investments (cash withdrawals) is ensured by the listing of the securities. To withdraw part or all of your investment, simply give an order to sell the securities you hold to FGI and the proceeds of your sale are available 3 days after the execution of the sell order. The corresponding amount is placed in the liquidity balance on your account and you can withdraw it by check or by a bank transfer.

FGI provides you with an online platform to follow the evolution of your portfolio. It allows you to have in real time 24 hours a day:

  • – the appearance of the wallet
  • – valuation of the portfolio
  • l’historique de vos mouvements
  • les ordres transigés

Upon presentation of the documents attesting to the death, FGI checks the quality of the heirs with the Notary or the principal, supported by the documents issued by the competent courts, determines the value of the securities portfolio and transfers everything to the designated accounts. by the beneficiaries or the notary in charge of the succession.

Orders sent to FGI are executed according to the regulations in force on the BRVM market, which stipulate that payments are made on D + 3 working days. Une agence de notation est une entreprise privée dont l'activité principale consiste à évaluer la capacité des émetteurs de dette à faire face à leurs engagements financiers.

Un club d’investissement regroupe des personnes physiques, qui, pour s’initier à la gestion boursière, constitue, au moyen de versements échelonnés, un portefeuille commun de valeurs mobilières.

La SICAV est une société anonyme à capital variable dont l'objet unique est la gestion d'un portefeuille de valeurs mobilières alors qu'un FCP est un régime de copropriété de valeurs mobilières. Ce qui entraîne des modes d'administration distincts de gestion.

C’est la mesure de la fluctuation quotidienne du cours d’un titre sur une période donnée. Cette mesure est en général représentée par l’écart type des fluctuations quotidiennes du cours d’un titre sur une année.

Toute personne morale comme personne physique peut avoir un compte-titre. Il suffit de contacter une SGI et avoir le montant minimum requis pour l'ouverture de compte.

Les deux principaux marchés des produits dérivés sont :

  • Le marché de gré à gré qui met en relation directement deux acteurs privés où chaque intervenant supporte Le risque de défaillance de sa contrepartie. Ce marché offre une grande souplesse dans Le montage des produits non standardisés.
  • Le marché réglementé (ou organisé) où des entreprises définissent des produits standards et en assure les transactions via une chambre de compensation ainsi que le risque de défaillance ou de contrepartie.

  Le compartiment Prestige de la BRVM est reservé :

aux valeurs phares du marché. Les sociétés candidates à ce compartiment doivent justifier, entre autres, d’un minimum de 10 ans d’activité, d’une capitalisation boursière d’au moins 50 milliards de F CFA, d’un flottant d’au moins 20% du capital, correspondant à un minimum de 4 millions de titres.

Le compartiment Principal de la BRVM est destiné : 

aux sociétés présentant une capitalisation boursière minimale d' un milliard FCFA, un flottant d'au moins 15% du capital, d'états financiers certifiés des trois exercices précédant la demande.

Le compartiment Croissance de la BRVM  est destiné :

à accueillir les PME et les entreprises à fort potentiel de croissance

Les SPV (Special Purpose Vehicle) sont des véhicules de financement créés dans le cadre des opérations de titrisation. A la BRVM , il exite trois principaux indices représentant l'activité des titres du marché des actions; il s'agit du BRVM Composite ,du BRVM 30 et du BRVM Prestige :

Le BRVM C est un indice général. Il  prend en compte toutes les sociétés cotées à la BRVM. Il est ajusté chaque fois qu’une nouvelle société est introduite à la cote mais également en cas d’augmentation ou de réduction de capital.

L’indice « BRVM 30 » regroupe les trente valeurs les plus échangées sur un trimestre. Il tient compte de l’évolution de la liquidité du marché au cours des dernières années

Le BRVM Prestige regroupe l’ensemble des valeurs inscrites sur le Compartiment Prestige.
